Weekly Photo - 21/03/2011 "Royal Visit"

I am glad to see that my Sunday post was missed by many of you and I hope to make it up with this, albeit a day late.

Today His Royal Highness, Prince William of Wales KG spent the afternoon touring flood ravaged parts of north western Victoria... So naturally I decided to go too.

In the last 14 hours I;
• Drove over 630km (390 Miles)
• Went through only 1 tank of petrol
• Made 586 Images
• Spent more time standing and waiting then I did driving or photographing
• Spent that time wisely chatting to some great local, interstate and foreign media
• Was messages by 2 people who saw me on live news broadcasts
• Most importantly had a great time!!

Weekly Photo - 13/03/2011 "Untitled"

First of all I would just like to update you on a few changes to the blog. After discussions with several people I have decided that after just one month to suspend my "This Month in Photos" posts, this is simply due to the fact that I'm currently not shooting enough variety of subjects in a month that are month specific to warrant such posts, instead I will be posting occasional posts to show on work I am producing for personal, university or client shoots which obviously cannot be used for my weekly photo from week to week.

This past week I have been constantly running around getting everything I need for university and basically just settling in for second year, for that reason I have not had much opportunity to shoot for myself. This weekend I have been in Sydney minding my cats while my parents are away so I seized the moment of peace and quiet to shoot for this blog.

Weekly Photo - 06/03/2011 "Light, Camera, Action!"

Anyway on Monday I got back to Melbourne eager and ready for action in the first week of second year studying a Bachelor of Arts in Photography, having arrived from Sydney's glorious temperatures and sunny days I was shocked to be confronted by several days of thick low lying cloud which was less then inspiring looking through my course content thinking "How could I possibly make good pictures with this light?"

Whilst sitting on the couch sheltering from the rain and watching an old recorded episode of "Storm Chaser's" I was suddenly blinded by the sun shining through the balcony windows, moments later I snapped this, just incase it didn't show again...
